![]() ![]() Test the rudder with keys and trimming - if it works dial in 1/4 right rudder trim. Put the chocks in (a separate command to brakes, where the ground crew will put chocks in) important! - this is only necessary where there is strong wind, like on the cross country quick mission, otherwise when the wind is properly applied by mission makers neutral or positive elevator is ok. Select country cross flight from the quick missionsĭial in the most negative elevator trim before takeoff. I still think the rudder isn't bound or detected properly by the game in your instance.īind some keyboard keys to rudder right/left and also trimming! Well there's definitely something fishy going on. So it's assigned and working, but somehow the aircraft is getting pushed to the left without any rudder input, even before it starts. The same for every other control surface. But that's not the issue here since the rudder stays perfectly still in the cockpit until I actually provide input to it. Clearing it and trying again seems to work sometimes. The game likes to have problems actually using an assigned axis correctly. Also from a few Google searches I've noticed other people have experienced the same thing. ![]() I know for sure that there are issues though with the game's joystick binding. Every axis/button works and I don't have any issues in any other games. I've bound a virtual joystick as an intermediary to adjust axis on my CH pedals and when I forget to launch the program that activates it, I get the same full left problem. The joystick is detected. Rebind it again and make sure when you're binding it there's no interference from another controller like a noisy pot or slider or what have you. Rudder locked full left points at the bound controller not being present/detected by the game. Joystick: Saitek ST290 Pro (IL2 Cliffs of Dover) I also checked to make sure that the axis on the stick aren't effecting the rudder, other than the rudder itself. To reiterate, the aircraft never shows the rudder pedals in the cockpit moving when I don't physically apply rudder, yet the gauge shows it 100% left when I'm not applying input. It inevitably ends up in either spinning out, tipping over or crashing the aircraft. I see the gauge showing center if I apply right rudder and try to center it, but I have to constantly fight it to keep it there, but can't. well it's a feat that is impossible to accomplish. If I compensate (this is impossible) and try to hold the rudder in the center. I also play DCS and have no rudder issues there.Īs soon as I apply 1% power to begin taking off or taxi into position the aircraft starts turning left violently. In axis binds the rudder assignment is centered and isn't off center, so there doesn't appear to be an issue with the center being calibrated incorrectly. The rudder pedals in the cockpit have not moved. I combed over the axis binds and then took a look in the cockpit.Īs soon as I enter the game and I'm in the cockpit the aircraft starts to rotate to the left (with the engine off!) as if I am moving and applying left rudder. I am having what I can only assume is a nasty bug with the controls. ![]()
